Some Bug Shots

Here’s just a few shots I took last night while scavaging my yard. The lead photo was actually dead… which made me sad.  The rest of them were alive and well. Since it’s August, I’d really like to get some shots of a mantis of any type!  Even with the 100+ heat index, I find […]

Luna Moth

I got some what I think are decent shots of a Luna moth today.  They’re much more impressive than the ones I took a few months back on my 350D!

I don’t know what it is lately, but it seems my bug pictures have really been no good.  This is especially sucky since Gizmodo’s shooting challenge this week is bugs. Here’s the only two shots I took today that I even hardly liked. Maybe I need to plant some nice, pretty flowers to attract more […]

I may have recently upgraded cameras, but I’ve still taken some photos with the Canon Rebel XT that I love to bits.  This post is a tribute to those photos, and my first SLR. Camera:  Canon EOS 350D, Lens:  70-200mm f/4.0 L This one was taken about two weeks for my upgrade.  For me it […]

Just One Macro

I’m still trying to get used to the limited DoF and full frame sensor of my 5d2 with macros.  This one turned out okay, but still not quite how I’d like it. Camera:  5D Mark II Lens:  Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro Flash: Canon 430EX II
